Hi, I've been looking for this series for months and noone seems to have heard of it.
It was a tv series about a giant red robot who fought for good, helping humans, and he was constantly being attacked by bad robots, mainly black.
He also had the ability to upgrade in the middle of battles, i think if he got whized of or something, and his processer would run at a faster speed.
There was also a tv series called cubix around the same time with a similar principal but that's not the one i'm thinking of.
Later in the series it introduced the concept of dual core processors which made the robots more powerful and i think in the climax the main bad guy designed a robot with 8 cores.

well, there was "Big Guy and Rusty the boy robot" in the 90s on FOX Kids. Ill see if I can think of another show with a red robot
